Our Story

In some ways Wood Spirit Guitars started over 40 years ago. Around the age of five my father built me a small booster/step stool that I could drag around the shop from tool to tool so I could reach them. I have been working in the wood shop ever since. Many of the tools I still use to this day belonged to my father and grandfather. And now my son works with me on the more modern aspects woodworking (CAD,CAM,&CNC).

For the past few years I have wanted to combine my woodworking with my love of music. My inspiration to build guitars came with an introduction to my cousin-in-law Jeff Carolus. A gifted musician and all around great dude. Upon completion and delivery of the first guitar my fascination (My wife calls it an ADICTION) was set.
